Product Review: Strong and Soft Bath Tissue from Dollar Tree - 01/06/2023
Toilet paper, a.k.a. "Bath Tissue"... Did you know the U.S. leads the world in toilet paper consumption? Woo-hoo!, now there's a stat to be proud of! According to Statistica, a consumer market research outfit, the average American goes through about 140 rolls of toilet paper a year. I'm thinking I don't want to know how they compile that stat. WAY better for you than chips or donuts, sunflower seeds are linked to a number of health benefits like lowering your risk in developing high blood pressure or heart disease. They also support your immune system and boost your energy levels! Read On...
If you're into green tea, check out Dollar Tree - 11/19/2022
I like an afternoon cup of tea. I started to get into a daily tea regimen - and just green tea mind you - about a year-and-a-half ago. I began the green tea thing for the many health benefits, to include but is not limited to reduced blood pressure, reduce the risk of stroke, it lowers blood sugar, stabilizes cholesterol and reduces body weight. Stocking up on household essentials at Dollar Tree - 10/09/2022
Stocking up on household essentials, I purchased 23 items for just under $28. Try to do that at the mainstream grocery store or even Walmart! And even though you won't find many name brands at Dollar Tree, there's no job/task performance worries, the Dollar Tree stuff does just fine. Read On...
Don't pay $4 or $5 for Father's Day or Birthday cards, etc.! - 06/15/2022
If you're the typical guy, you probably wait until the last minute to pick up a card for whatever, Mother's Day, Father's Day, birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc., and you're in the grocery store card isle looking for a card that will do. Read On...
Shopping Review: The Dollar Tree on South Rock Road needs some TLC - 04/29/2022
I stopped in the Dollar Tree I usually frequented when I lived in my apartment, the store being just a hop, skip and a jump from where I lived. I often walked there to pick up a few things. This particular store has recently changed managers and hopefully for the better, as this location is looking more and more run down on an almost daily basis. The Dollar Tree on South Rock needs some Tender Loving Care. Read On...
Shopping at Dollar Tree - 03/09/2018
Regular readers know that I'm a fan of Dollar Tree. For typical household cleaning products, soaps, sponges, detergents, etc., and kitchen goods like paper plates, napkins, foil, etc., buying such things at Dollar Tree saves you A LOT of cash. Not only do you save on the cash, but you don't have to give up on quality/product ability either. Read on...
Don't pay too much for household cleaning products - 06/01/2017
So I have to ask, "Are you a name brand cleaning product kind of person?"
If you are, check this out, I've done a cost comparison for some common household cleaning products - name brand items purchased at Walmart vs. not name brand Dollar Tree. I used Walmart in this comparison because I think most folks would agree that Walmart is on the low end cost-wise and popular for that reason when purchasing items like name brand cleaning supplies. Buy your cleaning supplies at Dollar Tree - 08/05/2016
Today, I was in need of re-supplying my cleaning supplies and a few personal hygiene items. Check out the list, look how cheap it is! You would pay perhaps four times the amount for the name brand stuff at THE local big-name grocery store. Read On...
Goodsense Brand Tall Kitchen Bags, Available at Dollar Tree - 06/26/2016
These tall kitchen bags are another example of why I like the store. They are quality bags. You get 10 bags for $1, the fresh scent is nice and the flap ties allow you to quickly tie up a full bag and take it outside to the dumpster or trash can. Compare that to discount bags sold at places like Walmart. Read On...
First Time Shopping at Dollar Tree - 03/14/2016
Out on my own and having to pretty much start from scratch again at age 53 (I won't bore you with the details), I found myself staring at the empty apartment I just 'moved' into. There I was, about a month ago, standing in my kitchen with a Wendy's $4 meal deal in hand/mouth, pondering how I was going to start preparing meals. I had silverware, a couple knives and a cast iron skillet, but was pretty much void of everything else. I also needed bathroom items, most notably a shower curtain as well as cleaning supplies.
