Drink Review: Day Chaser Cocktails, Cranberry + Vodka

Looking for something a little bit different to add to my bar menu, I picked up a 4 pack of Day Chaser Cocktails during a recent run to the liquor store.
I enjoy mixology and playing bartender, but once in awhile it's nice to be able to just grab something out of the fridge, open and pour for guests to enjoy. Beer often fits that bill, but there are those times when an Ale or Lager just won't do.
Enter Day Chaser Cocktails, Cranberry + Vodka
Here's the description from their website: Day Chaser is a ready-to-drink spirit-based canned cocktail with real fruit juice and sparkling water. This easy drinking beverage is perfect for those living an active lifestyle full of adventure.
I went with the cranberry flavor, which pairs up really well with vodka. Other flavor options are lime, cucumber (a very popular pairing right now) and Buda berry, whatever that is.
Taking a sample sip, it's pretty refreshing. I'm not a huge sparkling water fan, but the cranberry flavor in this is notable. At just 4.7% alcohol (a similar volume to some popular beers), it's light on the vodka however. Don't expect the same punch in Day Chaser that you would get in a traditional mixed drink. This isn't something I will drink on a routine basis, but I will keep it on hand as an option for guests.
Costing me $9.99 for a 4 pack of 12 ounce cans, I'm giving Day Chaser Cranberry + Vodka Cocktails 4 out of 5 Bachelor on the Cheap stars. It's a refreshing drink alternative in a canned cocktail for guests and a break from mixology at a party. Day Chaser also has a Tequila lineup, something I look forward to sampling down the road.
