Best in Wichita Metro Burger Challenge 2022: How does Buster's Burger Joint rate?

I'm traveling around the Wichita Metro, sampling the burger offerings from any joint that has burgers on the menu, local, regional, national chain, it doesn't matter. In order to determine a true champion of burgers in the metro, I'll have to sample them all in the name of "burger science" (cough). For the burger criteria, click here.
For this Tuesday Burger Challenge Lunch, I headed over the Buster's Burger Joint. Here's the description from their Facebook page: Locally owned true Burger Joint. Serving fresh burgers, great fries, tots or onion rings and fellowship in an old fashioned dive!
Yes, it is a dive, but it's a clean dive unlike Bomber Burger. Seating just 11, this place is cash only and is hopping with business! I entered the place a bit after 11am like I've been doing during the course of this Challenge for my first meal of the day. Buster's was already just about at seating capacity and the gents behind the counter were working it, preparing all the dine-in, call-in and carry-out orders. It was impressive to watch!
I ordered the double cheeseburger with a bacon add, tater tots for a side and a drink. I was told it would be about a 20 minute wait. "No problem" I replied, knowing it was going to be well worth the wait. With the place just about at capacity, I went with a carry-out order but did park it in one of the few remaining seats and starting sipping on a Mountain Dew Baja Blast.
I received my meal at about the 15 minute mark. I like it when a place gives you a time frame, then beats it. My Trekkie sense was telling me The Scotty Principle (also known as The Scotty Effect or The Scotty Factor) was at play here. It's the technique of adding extra time to your estimate for how long something will take. Sandbag the time and you appear to be a wizard when you accomplish the task quicker than what you announced. Underpromise and overdeliver - The Scotty Principle. Nice job Buster's, I like your style!
The burger was phenomenal. The patties had a superior flat top crust, they were seasoned well and juicy. Loaded with bacon, this is a carnivore's dream burger, check out that meat to bun ratio! Wrapping up all that savory beef, bacon and cheese goodness was a butter toasted bun complimented by tart, crisp pickles and a generous portion of onion.
Side Note: The tater tots were good, fried nicely and seasoned well, yes, something to snack on during the drive home. No ketchup required.
Costing me $11 plus hitting the tip jar, the Buster's Burger Joint Double Cheeseburger with a bacon add scored a 59 out of a possible 63 points earning it 5 out of 5 Bachelor on the Cheap stars. Buster's is VERY Bachelor on the Cheap wallet friendly, the value is tremendous and if Buster's isn't already on your burger to try list, it should be!
Located at 1202 E MacArthur Rd, Wichita, KS 67216, Buster's Burger Joint cranks out stellar burgers. I'm not the only person that wishes they would open up another location.
